Rick Patch, President and CEO
Rick is a pioneering software executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years experience in information technology and in building
early-stage companies. Rick was a founding member and former President of Micro Decisionware Inc.,
a successful VC-backed company that was ultimately sold to Sybase Inc. Rick was also a founding partner at Sequel Venture Partners, a venture capital firm with over $400M in assets. As part of Sequel, Rick invested in and built numerous successful Internet and Enterprise software companies. Some examples include MatchLogic (acquired by Excite), Dante (acquired by WebMethods), Service Magic (acquired by IAC), Bid4Vacations (acquired by I.C.E.), and BlueCurve (acquired by Red Hat Inc.).
Vahe Christianian, Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Vahe founded LifePics in 2000 after a very successful growth period at Mike's Camera, one of the nation's largest
and most successful camera retailers and photofinishers. Vahe was instrumental in growing Mike's Camera from a small
family business to three separate stores with multi-million dollar sales revenues. Vahe is a veteran of the photo industry
and also brings a strong sales and financial background developed during his time on Wall Street with Shearson Lehman.
Ken McDonald, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Success
Ken has worked in the software industry since the mid 1980's in a variety of capacities. He spent 5 years in marketing
positions at Oracle, including driving Oracle's e-commerce initiatives and growing online sales from $5M to over $500M per
year in revenues. Most recently, Ken was an investment professional at Sequel Venture Partners, where he evaluated and
made investments in software companies. He has been on the starting team of two software companies, Topica and Open Horizon,
and spent 3 years as a senior level information technology consultant at Booz Allen and Hamilton.
Gary Stone, Vice President of Finance and Administration
Gary has over 16 years of financial experience, the last 8 working directly with software companies. Gary began his career
with Deloitte and Touche before spending 4 years helping grow The Disney Stores chain, the last two of those years in Tokyo,
Japan. After earning a graduate degree in entrepreneurship, Gary helped take Interactive Intelligence public and then
joined another software company in Denver called Zoll Data Systems. Gary most recently worked at VCFO, a CFO/Controller
services organization primarily serving early stage, VC backed companies.
John Volf, Director of Product Development
John has been instrumental in building and maintaining the LifePics software technology. He has over 15 years of IT and
software development experience from D&P Inc, Martin Marietta, Westinghouse, and Boeing.
Digi Pixels, Director of Photographic Wizardry and Worldly Adventures
Willed into existence by thousands of perplexed digital camera users in the Fall of 2000,
Digi Pixels emerged onto the scene armed with a digital camera, a passport, and a stylish
orange tie. Determined to leave no country un-photographed and no photography question unanswered,
Digi began travelling the world, taking pictures of everything and everyone he encountered,
while writing photography advice and sending postcards along the way. Throughout his travels,
Digi has shared his passion and knowledge about digital photography with millions of people.
By spreading the word about the convenience of online photo storage, Digi has also managed to
save an infinite amount of memories from natural disasters or misplaced shoeboxes full of photos.
Digi began sharing his photography secrets with LifePics users several years ago, and continues
to be the center of attention at every LifePics office party, year in and year out.
