LifePics, Inc. announced today that it has completed and released the first phase of its template and gift engine website for use by its network of photofinishers and users.
This release is the first phase of a multi-phase release that will enhance usability, stability and speed of the LifePics Retail and Pro Online Service. This phased development conversion will continue until complete sometime in 2007.
This release is built upon SQL Server 2000 and uses various components of the .NET platform. It introduces Web Services to deliver a modular and expandable platform to easily deliver a large inventory of image templates and gifts for use by our Retail and Pro photofinishing customers.
"We are proud of the significant steps we have taken recently to improve our service for our user community. The Microsoft platform of software tools and partnership programs have made our progress easier," said Rick Patch, CEO of LifePics.
"Reaction to the enhanced performance and ease of use of this release have been exceptional," said Ken McDonald, VP Marketing and Operations.
LifePics plans to focus the next phase of the Microsoft technologies onto improving the order processing and shopping cart processes of the LifePics website solution.
