LifePics announced today a dramatic increase in online-to-retail order volume for dealers across the LifePics network during the 2007 Holiday Season. Transactions for templates and gifts grew between 200% and 300% from 2006. In addition, LifePics recently enabled many dealers to complete photo book and calendar orders on-site in as little as one hour, which resulted in a 3500% (35 times) escalation in photo book and calendar orders. In some cases, LifePics delivered online orders faster than dealers could download.
"We were very pleased with the strong volume of online photo book and calendar orders," said Doug Gentry, Executive Director, Ritzpix.com at Ritz Camera Centers. "LifePics delivered the ability to fulfill these orders in one hour, giving us a tremendous advantage over competitors that could not complete and ship these products to their customers as Christmas approached. We accepted and produced photo book and calendar orders all the way through Christmas Eve, providing many last minute shoppers a huge sigh of relief!"
In addition to the strong photo book and calendar order growth, photo gift orders rose 300%, resulting from the vast selection of gifts offered to the LifePics network. LifePics also offers the broadest selection of templates on the Web, including greeting cards, scrapbook pages, magazine covers, gift tags, sports designs, and much more, produced by both Aperion and PhotoTidings. Because of the large selection and the innovative new LifePics template engine, template orders grew 200% from last year.
"The 2007 Holiday Season reinforced the power of combining the convenience
of the Internet with the efficiency of established retail brands," said Rick
Patch, President and CEO at LifePics. "We expect to see this growth trend continue,
ultimately establishing the online-to-retail transaction as the primary method for
digital image order fulfillment for consumers."
